Description
Automatic BGA rework machine used for truck ECU repair
New designed automatic rework station DH-A2E is a high-end machine which is generally used for chip-level repairing, no matter which is truck or car ECU, both of them can be repaired by it.
To operate the machine is very simple, because it is high automtic with visible mounting procedures, its
temperatures profiles can be pre-set and save for using again next time, you just need to click " selection" where you can choice one of profils you need for desoldering or soldering.

More knowledge about ECU :
Generally, automobiles equipped with microprocessor control units have fault self-diagnosis systems. It can be used to automatically check and monitor the working status of the transmission system and control system in the car. When the car breaks down, the fault indicator light installed on the dashboard will flash to warn the owner that the car may have a problem. At the push of a button, the fault code is displayed on the dashboard. At the same time, the fault signal will be stored in the memory, even if the ignition switch is disconnected, the fault is eliminated, and the fault indicator light is off, the fault signal will still be retained in the memory for maintenance personnel to determine the fault of the car. After troubleshooting, disconnect the power of the ECU for 30 seconds and the DTC will be cleared. The auto fault self-diagnosis system monitors the operation of the car at all times. Even if a small screw is loose, it will be reflected in order to detect hidden dangers in time and ensure the safe operation of the car. In particular, the degree of electronics in modern automobiles is constantly improving, which greatly optimizes the technical performance of automobiles, but also makes the control systems of automobiles more and more complex. Once these complex electronic devices fail, it will bring great consequences Difficulties. In order to quickly diagnose the fault location and improve the maintenance efficiency, the world's major auto manufacturers have developed auto fault self-diagnosis systems.
If fault can not be removed and ECU needed to be repaired, especially, some chips of them needs to
rework, the automatic BGA rework machine is a necessary equipment, here is a video for your reference:
Special car detector
In the late 1970s, in order to further improve the convenience of use and maintenance of modern automobiles, special automobile detectors appeared to detect the working conditions of automobile electronic control systems. For example, the EEC-I and EEC-II detectors developed by Ford Company in the United States can be used to monitor the signal of the electronically controlled gasoline engine and find out the fault location. Due to the high technical requirements for operators when diagnosing faults, this kind of special detector has not been popularized.
On-board diagnostic system
In the 1980s, a new type of diagnostic system, the on-board diagnostic system, came out. It uses the microprocessor control unit to detect and diagnose the components of the electronic control system and find faults by itself, so it is also called the fault self-diagnosis system. Because it can continuously monitor the parameters of the automobile electronic control system and record the intermittent faults of the backup system, it is convenient to find faults in time, so it is widely used. However, due to the limited memory of the microprocessor, its diagnostic items are limited to a certain extent, and more complex faults cannot be diagnosed, so people are developing and developing newer and better diagnostic systems.
Multifunctional off-board diagnostic system
In order to expand the diagnostic capacity and diagnostic function of the on-board self-diagnosis system, in the late 1980s, Ford's off-board diagnostic instrument OASIS, Toyota's Diaqmonitor diagnostic system, Nissan's Consult, etc. were born one after another. These systems have relatively complete functions, but the price is relatively high. Expensive, high technical requirements, and inconsistent standards, so its use and maintenance are also subject to certain restrictions. After entering the 1990s, some multi-functional diagnostic systems that conform to international standards, are easy to operate and are reasonably priced have been successfully developed. Such as the DOT-21 external diagnostic system developed by Japan's Daihatsu and so on. The modern automobile self-diagnosis system is a self-contained system and has no universality, so it is not conducive to promotion, and it has caused great difficulties in the after-sales service and maintenance of automobiles. Therefore, the diagnostic system must be standardized, so that its diagnostic mode and diagnostic interface can be unified, and only one instrument can be used to diagnose and detect various vehicles, which will greatly promote the development of automotive self-diagnosis systems.
Fault found
The level signal input to the microprocessor has a certain range under normal conditions. If a signal outside this range is input, the ECU will diagnose that the signal system is in an abnormal state. For example, when the engine cooling water temperature signal system stipulates that the voltage of the sensor is 0.08-4.8V when it is in a normal state, it is diagnosed as abnormal if it exceeds this range. If the microcomputer itself fails, it will be monitored by the time limit circuit with an emergency monitoring timer; if there is a program abnormality, the reset of the time limit circuit that is carried out periodically will stop working, so as to adopt the fault detection method of the microcomputer reset.
Fault classification
When the microcomputer works normally, the abnormal situation of the input signal is detected by the diagnostic program, and then according to the detection results, it is divided into minor failures that will not be hindered, failures that cause functional degradation, and major failures. And the faults are classified according to their importance, and they are pre-edited in the program. When the microcomputer itself fails, the major faults are classified by WDT.
Error alarm
Generally, the car owner is alerted by the flashing of the warning light on the instrument panel. On cars equipped with displays, there are also texts that directly display the content of the alarm.
Troubleshooting
If a fault occurs during the operation of the car, in order not to hinder the normal driving, it is regulated by the microcomputer, and the surrogate value in the pre-programmed program is used for calculation to maintain the basic driving performance. After parking, the owner or maintenance personnel will carry out corresponding maintenance.
