How to maintain a PCB board?
To extend the life of a PCB board and ensure more stable performance, it is important to perform regular maintenance, check for issues, and clean off dust to maintain optimal working efficiency. So, how should we maintain the circuit board? The following provides a detailed introduction.
Maintenance every six months:
Check the electronic components on the circuit board for signs of high-temperature exposure and inspect the electrolytic capacitors for any swelling. Replace them if necessary.
Clean the dust off the PCB board every quarter using a special PCB cleaning solution. After cleaning, blow-dry the PCB board with a hair dryer.
Annual maintenance:
Clean the dust on the PCB board.
Sample and test the capacity of the electrolytic capacitors on the PCB board. If the capacity is less than 20% of the nominal value, replace the capacitors. Generally, electrolytic capacitors should be replaced after approximately ten years of use to maintain the performance of the PCB board.
To ensure optimal performance of the PCB board, regular inspections are necessary. Replace or repair damaged components, clean up debris, and perform other necessary maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
